tho I am directed by the Minister of Munitions to refer to your letter 63301/1917 of the 3rd, January, enclosing a copy of a draft telegram pro-
posed to be sent to the Governor of Hong Kong on the subject of shipments of Chinese wolfram, and to your letter 63346/pf the 3rd. January, on the same subject.
I am to state that Mr. Churchill proposes to increase the basis price of wolfram ore from Hong Kong by 5/- per unit, as from the 1st.
January, 1918. The basis price of 60/- per unit for ore basis 65% W03 delivered ex warehouse London or Liverpool less 1% brokerage will be
applicable to wolfram ore from that Colony, and in addition to this,
compensation will be paid for increase in the cost of freight and insur-
ance as shown in the following:-
